I would like to extend to you a personal invitation to take part in the Book Publishers’
Exhibition of Art History, Art Criticism, and Art Theory publications that will
be hosted by the 31st CIHA Congress at the Montreal Convention Centre from August
23–27, 2004.The central theme of the Congress, “Sites and Territories
of Art History”, has been chosen to accommodate a broad range of specializations
and methodologies, which encompass art, the history of art, art criticism and
theory, philosophy, and sociological approaches. All nations and periods are covered
in the program.
We are expecting approximately 800–1000 university researchers and specialists
from all regions of the world, the majority coming from the Americas, Europe,
and Australia. Given the importance of the CIHA Book Publishers’ Exhibition,
we have taken measures to maximize its visibility within the proceedings of the
Congress. This year, the Book Publishers’ Exhibition will be located in
a central site, at a strategic crossroad where scholars and publishers can meet
in a friendly setting.
The Book Publishers’ Exhibition offers you two options:
- OPTION A: RENTING A PUBLISHER’S BOOTH
Publishers and distributors rent and manage their own booths.
- OPTION B: THE BOOKSTORE
The Librairie Olivieri, an academic bookstore from Montreal, will represent you
at the Book Publishers’ Exhibition by offering a selection of your titles
You will find a link on this Web page to the Guidelines for Exhibitors brochure,
which contains all the necessary information pertaining to reserving your booth
or to sending your stock to the Librairie Olivieri.
I hope I will have the pleasure of welcoming you to Montreal this summer as an
Exhibitor in the prestigious CIHA 2004 Congress.
